Today, I am perplexed to learn on a finalised candidate whereby she turn down my job offer as she is more willingly to serve her new boss of a week eventhough the offer that have put forth is much better...35% extra than her existing package..we are not talking about 5%/10% extra but a 35% extra which is a lot and could be use to pay the monthly MYVI installment !
In fact, I am impressed with her commitment as I believe she had committed herself to serve her new boss faithfully. She keeps her words !
What do you think ? Money is not everything...so, we must always keep this in mind, there are always people who do not work for money but for satisfaction..

Hey Gr8buds,
Hope u won't mind me "kacau-kacau" your personal blog here. Was just taking a peek and found your postings relateable.
When I left my job at PhileoAllied Bank in Sibu to join Quality Concrete in Kch, I took a pay-cut of 40%....money REALLY isn't everything. Yup, I was fed-up with working in a bank, but that was only part of the reason I left.
While still with the bank, one morning I woke up and realised that I put my heart & soul into my work, I had no life except with the bank. Hubby was in Kch, I was in Sibu. I had no "after-office" life cos I'd usually work till 8pm+
Then I got a slap in the face when my bonus was 1/2 a mth less than all the others, even though I worked passionately. I went home and had a good cry. Wht shocked me was that it wasn't the lack of bonus tht disappointed me, but that I had build a "relationship" with my job, and that "relationship" had let me down.
That incident was a turning point in my life, and today I have to go back and thank my ex-manager for not appreciating me, otherwise I would not have taken a different direction in life and be where I am today.
Having discovered what I want to do in life and moving towards that direction - it is the best kind of reward anyone can have. You experience a deep sense of calm and meaning for life.
Hey, thanks for the space to express!

Yes, indeed money is not everything but it is something that we just cannot avoid, huh..thanks again for reinforcing the point for me.
